Students eligible for supplemental insurance

    Parents of Burke County Public Schools students have the opportunity to take out supplemental insurance on their children through a partnership between Burke County Public Schools and QBE, Inc. Accident plans and options include 24-hour coverage, at-school coverage, extended dental coverage and football coverage. Annual rates start at $11.

    “This supplemental insurance is valuable if your child is uninsured or accident prone or plays sports,” said Burke County Public Schools Superintendent Larry Putnam. “While we do our best to keep students safe, accidents unfortunately do happen and treatment can be expensive, unless your child is insured. QBE is committed to working with us to offer affordable coverage to school families. It’s quick and easy to enroll online and could save you and your family costly medical expenses.”

    Online enrollment is available at www.k12studentinsurance.com and you can pay online.
