Burke County Public Schools owns and operates 109 yellow school buses that travel more than 2.5 million miles annually, transporting students to and from school each day. Bus transportation is available for K-12 students who live more than one mile from school, and for any student who would otherwise have to walk to school due to a hazardous route.
