Exceptional Children

Burke County Public Schools offers Special Education services to each student with a disability.

Our educational programs and support is based on an individual's needs and if EC services are determined, then an Individual Education Plan (IEP) is developed.

Programs and services are provided to students and their families beginning at age 3 through age 21, or completion of a secondary education program.

If parents believe their child may have a disability, or if parents are concerned about their child's progress, they should talk with their child's teacher, principal or school social worker.

Feel free to call us about our Exceptional Children's program at 828-439-4312.
