The Executive Order encourages agencies, to the extent permitted by law, to transfer computers and related peripheral equipment excess to their needs directly to schools and some educational nonprofit organizations. Grant Name:The Fender Music Foundation Grants

Who is Eligible?:Qualifying applicants are established, ongoing and sustainable music programs in the United States, which provide music instruction for people of any age who would not otherwise have the opportunity to make music. The intent of the program must be music instruction, not music appreciation or entertainment, and the participants/students cannot be professional or career musicians. Almost all of the selected programs to which grants are awarded fall into the following categories: In-school music classes, in which the students make music; after-school music programs that are not run by the school; or music therapy programs, in which the participants make the music.

While the Kids in Need Foundation gives many grants each year to teachers, you may want to look at this site in depth to determine how this one foundation gets its money, finds volunteers, and provides a program that is extremely helpful to school communities. This is a good site that promotes a good program.

Who is Eligible?:The deadline is currently ongoing while funding lasts. The grant program which provides grants toward the purchase of Beyond Question student response systems has received additional funding for the 2011-2012 school year. Grant applications are once again being accepted for multiples of $1,000 based on the number of sets desired. Student response systems are designed to increase interactivity in the classroom while also providing the teacher with valuable time saving tools and automatic grading. Such tools are becoming increasingly popular because of these features and because the systems do not require a technical background to use.

Grants, up to $5,000, are available to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public schools, or tax-exempt public service agencies in the U.S. that are using the power of volunteers to improve the physical health of their community.  Grants are given in the form of The Home Depot gift cards for the purchase of tools, materials, or services.
 
The Home Depot Foundation’s Community Impact Grant Program will accept proposals for grants beginning February 6, 2012 through August 13, 2012.

Once grant applications are reviewed, all applicants will receive a written response within six weeks of receipt of a request. Please do not contact your local store or The Home Depot Customer Care helpline to inquire about the status of your application.

The Target Field Trip Grant will cover up to $700 of the cost of your field trip.  With our On-Site Field Trip, $700 would cover approximately 80 students.  Click the link below on August 1st to apply for the grant.
 
I can help you provide a highly educational field trip at your school, which doesn’t involve the cost or hassle of busing.  Our field trip qualifies for the Target grant, and it uses very advanced LEGO parts and pieces to teach Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
Our Engineering On-Site Field Trips for grades 1-8 are STEM based learning experiences that excite the interest of all students.  We use the motivational qualities of LEGO® to bridge the gap between learning and fun.
