Ten students from Forest Hill Elementary recently auditioned for the 2011 North Carolina Elementary Honors Chorus sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), formally known as Music Educators National Conference (MENC). The students who auditioned were: Lydia B., Carolina B., Carly C., Kourtney E., Catherine G., Gracie L., Beth L., Molly M., Kristen M., and Allie S.
One of our students was selected to represent Forest Hill! Only 168 students were chosen from over 530 who auditioned. The student who will represent Forest Hill, along music teacher Mrs. Cooper, will be traveling to Winston Salem, NC, on November 12 and 13 to sing and perform at the NC Music Educators Annual In-Service Conference.
