The Freedom High School Marching Patriots recently ended their competitive season on October 29th.  At the Cavalier Classic at East Burke High School, Freedom brought home 1st place Music, 1st place Percussion, 1st place class 5A, the 4A-5A Championship, a Superior Rating, and the Grand Champion Award.  The Marching Patriots then traveled to Newton-Conover's Southeastern Classic where they received 1st place Music, 1st place Drum Major, 1st Place Guard, 1st place Class 4A, a Superior Rating, and their second Grand Champion award of the day.  This marks the third time in school history that the band has won two Grand Champion awards in one day.
