Principal: Beth Church

Hello!  My name is Beth Church and I am the principal at North Liberty School. This is my fourth year at NLS and I am honored to work with such dedicated staff and wonderful students and parents.  I am a newly wed, married to Brinkley      Church.    My son Alex, is an elementary music teacher at Clyde Campbell Elementary School in Hickory, NC.  My daughter, Mary Beth is a sophomore at UNC-Asheville. majoring in psychology.  I have twin step-daughters, Caroline and Elizabeth who are 8th graders at Granite Falls Middle School.

I spent 13 years as a band director in Wadesboro, Durham, and at Liberty Middle School here in Morganton.  We are a very musical family: playing the piano, singing, Alex plays the piano and string bass, I play the flute, piano and organ and Mary Beth plays percussion and teaches piano.  Caroline and Elizabeth play the flute and Brinkley plays the piano.  After teaching band, I decided to pursue my administration degree so I could work with more children in a larger capacity.  My heart has belonged to North Liberty for a long time because it was my first assignment as a principal, so it's wonderful to return home.

It is my dream to work with the teachers at North Liberty and help provide the best education possible for our students through a variety of activities.  We will all work to teach life long skills that will make the world a better place.  Recycling, on- and off-campus work, field trips, technology with our new Smart Board, reading and math skill-building programs and all the related services are provided to make our school special!  Please consider being a volunteer at North Liberty.  Just stop by the office and pick up a Volunteer Packet from Martha and we will send it in for you.  Our school theme this year is "WNLS-TV - Good News For You!" We will be creating our own television news program to present our morning announcements and a variety of information to our students, staff, and parents.
