The fifth annual Miss Patton Pageants was held on March 31 at 7:00 pm in the Patton High School auditorium.  Miss Patton Pageants is a fundraiser for the Patton High School Student Government Association.  All proceeds from the event are used to sponsor student activities and organizations at Patton High School.

Miss Patton contestants, grades 9-12, competed in a four categories: Casual Wear, Evening Wear, On Stage Question, and Scholastic Achievement.  Junior Miss Patton contestants, grades 6-8, competed in Casual Wear and Evening Wear.  Little Miss Patton participants, grades K-5, modeled their “Sunday Best” dresses and performed a dance to What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.

 

The culminating event was a crowning ceremony where each contestant was presented with a small tiara, trophy, and princess sash with rhinestone pin.  Miss Kila Stephens was crowned Little Miss Patton Sweetheart 2012 for raising the most funds through sponsorships in grades K-5, Miss Kara Towery was crowned Junior Miss Patton Sweetheart 2012 for raising the most funds through sponsorships in grades 6-8, and Miss Abby Bauer, Miss Patton 4^th Alternate, was crowned Miss Patton Sweetheart 2012 for raising the most funds through sponsorships in grades 9-12.  Miss Summer Debnam, Miss Patton 3^rd Alternate, was crowned Miss Patton People’s Choice 2012.  People’s Choice is chosen by the audience during intermission through a voting system where each dollar counts as one vote.  Miss Gwendolyn Coffey was crowned Junior Miss Patton 2012.  Junior Miss Patton runner ups included Miss Kelly Lane, 1^st Alternate, and Miss Kacie Mabe, 2^nd Alternate.  Miss Abbey Collins was crowned Miss Patton 2012.  Miss Patton runner ups were Miss Carrie Reid, 1^st Alternate, and Miss Caroline Bowers, 2^nd Alternate.  Each crowned winner received a dazzling rhinestone crown, large trophy, sash with rhinestone pin, and beautiful bouquet of flowers.  The crowned winners along with the pageant princesses will participate in activities throughout the 2012-2013 school year. 

 

Entertainment for the Miss Patton Pageants 2012 was provided by Lani Reece, Michaela and Tim Pittman, and Debbie Huffman’s Dance Academy.
