  Thanks for visiting our school website.  I hope that you will visit often to find updates on events at Rutherford College Elementary.  We are so excited to have weathered the consolidation storm last year and to be open and thriving.  I’m pleased to announce we finished number one in the county again, being name an Honor School of Excellence for the second consecutive year by the state of North Carolina.  I know that with your help, we can do it again.  Help us reach our goal, committing to your child’s education by reading daily with them, providing a quiet place for them to do homework, and by getting them to school on time everyday.  It makes a world of difference if you will commit to these small measures.  We also hope that you will plug into the school yourself by visiting for lunch and finding places to volunteer that utilize your talents.
