NC Wax Museum Comes to Salem

Fourth graders in Mrs. Acord's class have been studying famous North Carolinians. The students conducted online research and wrote formal research papers.  They also created virtual museums using PowerPoint with voice narration and imported pictures from digital cameras.  Students opened the North Carolina Wax Museum to over 100 parents, administrators, and students.   The students were wax figures who "came to life" with the flip of a switch. A special thanks goes to Gary Norman with Normal Electrics for loaning the light switches, to Debbie Kiracofe, the Instructional Technology Facilitator and Becky Chappell, the Academically/Intellectually Gifted facilitator.
