"Mrs. Acord's reading group has been reading several books about the Wright Brothers' famous flight in 1903. Using reading skills, they built their own kites and flew them on a perfect windy day. On Thursday, October 13th, Dr. Frank Steele came to speak to the class about his passion for flying. He shared many interesting photographs and stories about his experience as a pilot. The students were especially interested in the plane he designed when he was 9 years old. Special thanks to Mr. Mike Steele and Dr. Frank Steele for a wonderful experience!"
