During a study of cause and effect, Mrs. Kearson's Third Grade Reading class, with the help of her student teacher, Mr. Roark, read the series of "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" books by Laura Numeroff. Pairs of students then wrote their own versions of these stories. The characters in the stories had to go through 7 cause and effect relationships, ending full circle, back where the story began. Then instructional technology specialist, Debbie Kiracofe, worked with the children illustrating their stories using Core FX software. After illustrating, students recorded themselves reading the stories and imported the illustrations and audio into Movie Maker. A Red Carpet Movie Premiere was held where students, parents and special visitors got to see the movies for the first time on the big screen.
