Burke County Public Schools and Western Piedmont Community College are hosting Career and College Promise (CCP) information nights for students in grades nine through 12 and their parents. Through CCP, students can take college courses and earn credits for free while still in high school. Come learn more about CCP opportunities and begin the process of planning, enrolling and registering for college courses. The meetings are planned for:
- East Burke High School on Tuesday, March 12
- Patton High School on Thursday, March 14
- Freedom High School on Thursday, March 21
- Draughn High School on Tuesday, March 26
Each meeting will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will include a free pizza dinner (provided by GearUp). There will be WPCC representatives from several college programs to talk with attendees and promote their programs.
