Trio of TA’s gains teacher licensure together

Three former teacher assistants at Drexel Elementary School now each have a classroom and students to call their own. Kimberly Hogan, Jessica Smith and Amy Smith have recently received their teaching license after pursuing their dreams together. One pathway to becoming a teacher is graduating from high school, getting a four-year education degree and landing a teaching job, but for many in the past couple years that has not been the case.

UPDATE: Proposals for East Burke High School's cafeteria renovation project

The Burke County Child Nutrition, the office of Daniel Wall, Burke County Child Nutrition Director, 700A East Parker Road Morganton NC 28655 will receive proposals or sealed bids up to 9:00 a.m. Wednesday January 11 th , 2023, and immediately opened for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering the East Burke High School Cafeteria Renovation Project for Burke County Child Nutrition.
