If you are interested in Dual Enrollment, please read policy 4160 for directions on how to proceed. Courses selected need to total 180 instructional minutes. For current NCVPS Middle School specific courses, please visit https://ncvps.org/middle-school-courses/. Burke Virtual courses are yet to be determined for the 2020-2021 school year. We will post them as soon as possible. We welcome you to BCPS!

What to consider before you sign-up for an online course:
  • Organization and self-discipline is vital for success. YOU are responsible for managing your time, resources and meeting deadlines when taking an online course. 
  • Online courses typically require MORE time than seated courses.

Online Registration Process for ApexBurke Canvas and NCVPS 
  1. Talk to your parents about taking an online course.
  2. Take at least one of the online learner assessments listed above to aid your understanding of online courses.
  3. Review the provider links to help you determine which courses are both available to you and are of interest to you.
  4. Consult with the School Counselor as to course selections.

COVID19 process:
When speaking with your counselor/principal/e-Learning Advisor, ask for the bit.ly online registration form for your school.

If you have a printer/prefer to fill out forms or if your school chose not to use an online registration form: 

Please download the Student Parent Contract and Online Learning Application from the Online Learning Documents Center. (look to your left)

- Return the completed 
Online Learning Application to your School Counselor.

- Teacher Recommendations are not required at this time.

- Wait for the School Counselor or e-Learning Advisor to contact you regarding successful enrollment.

Additional course opportunities for juniors and seniors exist through the Career & College Program at Western Piedmont Community College . High school juniors and seniors have an opportunity to take tuition-waived courses at WPCC while being dual enrolled in their high school. Please visit their site for information and details.
