Internet/Social Media Safety

Neptune Navigate
Raising kids in this digital age is difficult. Whether we’d like to admit it or not, the time our children spend on various digital platforms can make them vulnerable in the online world. Because our school system places such a high importance on keeping your children safe, we want to do everything we can to equip them with the resources and tools that will help them be responsible digital citizens. Therefore, we are partnering with a company called Neptune Navigate.  Over the course of the school year, your child will learn what it means to be a good digital citizen, how to create a positive digital footprint, and stay safe in the online world through eight online modules. Each module consists of a 5-10 minute video, knowledge checks and a pass/fail quiz at the end and should take them no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

We're confident that this material will prepare your student(s) to make wise decisions that impact them now as well as in their future.
Continue the Conversation is an online learning module for parents. This is an important resource for you to further the discussion with your child about being a good digital citizen and staying safe online.
The topics your child will cover this year include digital citizenship, cyberbullying, digital footprint, social media and digital world basics, media literacy, privacy, and tech laws/age appropriateness.
