Welcome to Burke County Public Schools

We are excited to soon serve you and your rising Kindergarten student. This is an exciting milestone for families and we want to make this experience as positive and enriching for students as possible. We are proud of the dedicated teachers and principals that will have the opportunity to grow and teach your child in the coming years. Please know that we are committed to providing a well-rounded, top quality education for your child through the important partnership of schools and families.

Search by Address     In the left column, enter your address in the "Search By Address" field, and click search.  Scroll to the bottom of the results in the left column to see your list of schools.


 

 

 

What documentation is needed to register a new Kindergarten student?

  • You will have the option to upload these documents or provide a copy at the school
    • Parent or Guardian Driver’s License
    • Student Birth certificate or other proof of age (ex. Student ID, Baptism Certificate, Passport, etc.)
    • Three proofs of residency (ex: current utility bill, mortgage payment, vehicle registration)
  • You will need to provide a copy of this document at the school
    • NC Health Assessment completed by parent/guardian and healthcare provider (provided to the school within the first 30 days of enrollment
    • Immunization record (originals from the doctor or health department)

DIAL Screening:

Students entering Kindergarten are given a short assessment prior to entry.
